Inspiration on Background from Modernist Architecture

Modernist Architecture

Modernist Architecture is very clean and simple. This in a way inspires my magazine as its ever-present philosophy abides to the ideal that form follows function. This means that the  design should derive directly from its purpose. Due to the fact that my music genre idea is alternative indie music that is quite simple the fact that modern architects express themselves through simplicity, I believe this clearly relates to the music and gives me an interesting back drop for a chosen model. Modern architecture eliminates unnecessary detail and desires simplicity while keeping keeping a clarity of form, hence why some of my inspired magazine covers are very simple and only keep the subject of the magazine as the main point of observation with little text. One thing that unfortunately is a factor that leaves me with doubt in modernist design is the concept of "Truth to material" which means that the natural appearance of something should not be altered. This would inevitably eliminate any photo editing software from my resources and rely only on a great picture.
However, modern architecture as a whole is defined by clean lines and interior at a minimum, so in terms of a magazine, my magazine would be neat and tidy with clear and defined detail with minimal text which would allow the visual to speak for itself and be the focus of attention.
An Architect that is the main inspiration would be Frank Lloyd Wright, who created the building known as "Fallingwater" which was said to be his "most beautiful job".
